Tired and frustrated of hearing all my single parent friends brag about their huge refund checks they get every year. Refunds should be based simply on earnings and how much you paid in throughout the year. Single adults should not have to pay more just because they have not yet chosen to have children or get married….life is expensive for EVERYONE!

The earned income credit and the child tax credit are a form of welfare for low income wage earners. It’s purpose is twofold. One to encourage single parents to work, and two to help support them.
